RE: What is the big benefit of the highwall models?

We have a Starcraft 3612 with the hard wall shower and it works great after a long day riding or hunting, we would not wish to be with out the privacy it adds. At 6'2" I also enjoy the extra head room.

RE: Trans temp

The Scanguage is a very nice unit, but it will not read the transmission temp in a Dodge. I went by their place 2 weeks ago to see when they might have this available for us Dodge people, but they did not have an eta. Phil

RE: Using A Hitch Extension

Andy, You may just need a longer Shank, like these. That is what I needed in order to travel with my tailgate down. Extened Shanks Phil

RE: Starcraft 3612

edovando, Sorry for the delay, as I was on a business trip. The dealer had this done prior to us taking delivery of the unit, and there was a 250.00 cost for it. I never towed the unit prior to the lift but have not had any issues with towing. The lift does make it nice when going off the beaten path.

RE: Starcraft 3612

I also have a 3612 but dry camp out hunting and just run the hose out 30ft, I do not understand why you could not hook up the hose and drain into the tank, unless you are talking about pushing the tank under the trailer, which is why I had, mine raised 4 inches. As far as the roof rack, I would contact your dealer, as he will be the one that will correct any warranty issues or call Starcraft direct.

RE: Fleetwood vs Starcraft vs Jayco

I believe the bottom line is the local dealer that will take care of your warranty issues. I was a long time Coleman fan but did switch due to the customer serive. All of the Trailers have good and bad.

RE: Kipor Owners ?

I have the 3000 model, the first one developed a knock after 20 hours, Kipor replaced unit, the second unit now has 42 hours ( I installed an hour meter to help keep track of usage for maintenance) with no problems. Phil

RE: using pop up for hunting

Jeff, Even though we live in Arizona , we have been using a pup for the last 26 years in temps down to 17F and it sure beats a tent. Last year was the our first hunt with the new unit and it has an enclosed shower and toilet and has preformed well. Phil

RE: Sunbrella vs. Aqualon

We purchased the starcraft 3612 than has the Aqualon this past Feb, and have been in snow, rain and heat and have not experienced any condensation issues. I will admit it does tear, as I had an area get caught on the bed corner and did not notice quick enough to stop the power lift, ( 20 years and I never tore my canvas on my old pup 5 months and I did damage) only 1/2 in long and DW finally forgave. Hope this helps some. Phil

RE: How well does the furnace work in PUP

Installing a digital thermostat was a five minute job on my startcraft. I purchased a battery power Hunter from good old Wally world and it made a world of difference. If you search this site you will find many references to swapping out to digital. Phil

RE: Centennial 3608 Popup

azBuckeye, I did forget to mention that I also had the dealer install a 4 inch lift on the trailer, as they set to low for odd road use.

RE: Centennial 3608 Popup

azBuckeye, I have the 3612 which is the same trailer as the 3608 only has the hard wall shower and we have enjoyed the unit very much. The majority of my camping is done away from any hook ups and we negotiated a generator in the package when we purchase our unit, this allows us to use the AC during the hot times Phil
